Education

At OPI, our Corruption Prevention & Education Unit (CPEU) undertakes activities aimed at educating police and the community about police corruption and serious misconduct, including its impact and consequences.

Activities include delivering presentations to probationary constables, discipline investigators and other police forums on request. CPEU also provide a consultancy service to Victoria Police seeking to include information about police corruption into their own education packages.

Community education takes place through community forum presentations, speaking at conferences, via media stories and through our website. We also attend universities to provide information to students of law and criminology.

Participants at our education events are invited to complete an evaluation survey. This anonymous survey is used by CPEU to continuously improve and update its information.
